Welcome to Warehouse! The CD you're holding in your trembling hand is a bit like us really: loud, occasionally weird, not perfect or 'nice and pretty' but totally passionate for Jesus. Recorded over a two-month period, it captures the sounds of a community on the move, a long way from home. Warehouse is the youth and student congregation of Revelation church, based on the south coast of England. We're often stunned by the way God has blessed us and this CD reflects our attempt to say thanks. God's raising a faceless army-and this CD is not about names, tunes or platforms. It's more of a soundtrack to our lives than a recording of songs. It's the story of what God is doing with us, our 'Biography' so far. We've been on a journey of creativity in worship. From dodgy beginnings in a student bar, we've grown into our own venue where homegrown bands and DJ's with fresh sounds provide the landscape for dancers, artists and prophetic voices, especially at our 'Fluid' events. We wondered about making a CD but it wasn't until we stumbled on the 24-7 prayer idea that our worship began to really fly. Suddenly the 'good idea' of making a CD became a 'God idea'. We're convinced that worship is about the whole of life-the painful bits as well as the spiritual moments. It's about lifting hands on Sunday night but it's also about getting them dirty Monday morning. It's about finding Christ in the weirdest places. It's about living it one choice at a time. That's why we've added poetry and artwork-we want this inlay to lead you into God's presence just as much as the sounds on the CD.
