I pray for the boy who broke my heart

I pray that he's good, that he's alright

And his family's doing fine

Instead of cursing his memory and screaming his name 
I'm wishing him well, hoping he's okay 
Thanking God for the lessons that I learned
Instead of crying all night and numbing the pain 
I've forgiven him now, I'm giving him grace
It's from my knees I see I've come so far

I thought I'd always be
Counting up the sorry's owed
For all the damage he left me

Got me talking more to Jesus
To find the grudge I held did nothing else
