Don't Give Up On Me

Matthew West

Don't Give Up On Me Matthew West

1 Verse:
C
Eyes closed, head bowed
G
But I don't know how to pray right now
Am
'Cause if I'm being honest, I just don't feel worthy
F
And who am I to think that heaven ever heard me?

2 Verse:
C
Long distance, wrong turns
G
My bridges have all been burned
Am
But from the ashes of what used to be
F
I look up, and it's You I see

Chorus:
      C
Running after me like I'm someone You've been missing
       G
Reaching through the fire like a hero on a mission
Am F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me
                                                                                   G
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                                   Am
You don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                 F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me

3 Verse:
C
Tears find my face
G
in the light of Your grace
Am
I'm overcome by overwhelming proof
F
That my wandering always ends with You

Chorus:
      C
Running after me like I'm someone You've been missing
       G
Reaching through the fire like a hero on a mission
Am F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me
                                                                                   G
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                                   Am
You don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                 F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me

Bridge:
C
You give me a future,
                              G
You give me a hope You give me a promise,
                            Am
You'll never let go
                                                                       F
You give me the grace that leads the way back home

4 Verse:
                  C
So I'm running after You like a child to the Father
   G
Falling in the arms that are waiting wide open
Am F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave

Oh, I still see You

Chorus:
      C
Running after me like I'm someone You've been missing
       G
Reaching through the fire like a hero on a mission
Am F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me
                                                                                   G
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                                   Am
You don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                 F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me

Outro:
                                                                                   G
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                                                   Am
You don't give up, don't give up, don't give up on me
                                                                               F
After all the reasons that I've given You to leave
                                                          C
Praise God, You don't give up on me
