1 verse:
         A#m F# C#
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow
      A#m F# C#
And I stand face to face with the enemy
       A#m F# C#
I will know that I am not forsaken
    A#m F# C#
You surround me when the fire’s at my feet

Chorus:
       G# A#m F# C#
You’re my defender

You fight for me
  G# A#m F# C#
I will remember You’re all I need
    G# A#m F# C#
You are my healer My remedy
            G# A#m F# C#
Against the power of the unknown and I will not stand alone
             G# A#m
Cause You’re my defender

2 verse:
      A#m F# C#
I can see You when the night is closing in
           A#m F# C#
And I will trust You when it seems that there’s no hope
           A#m F# C#
And I hold tight to the promise You have given
                          A#m F# C#
Cause this I know and I am confident
