A virgin, highly favored from birth gave birth to the one who would save her. Emmanuel-God with us - Jesus. You were there. Baptized at the Jordan. Embraced as the beloved son and servant. You turned a band of Brothers into the movement of the early church. Establishing an understanding of the kingdom through parables. The greatest storyteller that never told a lie - Rabbi. Jesus, our master teacher. You were there. You are the bread of life. You are the son of man. You are the light of the world. You are The way, The truth, The life. Betrayed by Judas, abandoned by Peter, traded for Barabas. Enduring crucifixion for crimes you did not commit. Jesus, the king of the Jews. You were there. You rose with all glory. Dismantling powers and authorities. Disgracing private shame with a public victory on the cross. Giver of great grace. Jesus our redeeming savior. You were there. When heaven and earth are new. When God’s dwelling place rest among His people. When there is no more fear. No more death. no more crying. No more pain. The Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. The lion of Judah will himself satisfy our hearts. Jesus our faithful bridegroom
